EPPING, N.H. -- On Friday night, Bryan Kruczek will return to the seat of the No. 19 Pro Stock for Bobby Webber Racing, looking to capture a big win at Star Speedway.
The Granite State Pro Stock Series will help open the 57th annual Star Classic weekend -- one that includes three straight days of racing and at least 13 different divisions of action. Kruczek is no stranger to Victory Lane at Star -- winning the last two spring Pro Stock races. This time, he hopes to seal the deal in the fall. The team is ready to complete what will be a third straight week of racing with the Pro Stock -- scoring a top-five finish at Hudson Speedway on Labor Day weekend, and leading over half of the race at Lee USA Speedway last weekend -- before finishing a strong second with a broken exhaust. "With the Classic, we're ending a busy three weeks for us," team owner Bobby Webber Jr. said. "We have been doing well with a fifth and a second. I've been trying to not put a lot of pressure on the guys in the shop, but the Star Classic, it means a lot to me. First, it's at home, right in front of all of our family and friends. Friday also would have been my dad's 75th birthday. What better way to honor the man who taught me and paved the way for everything I have today then to go out there and win the race that means the most to him on his birthday." Kruczek will not have an easy task, racing against some of the best in New England for 100 circuits around the bullring. Friday night racing at Star begins at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying time trials and heat races. The full weekend pass for general admission is $65 per person. Tickets are available for each day alone, including Friday night. The Pure Stocks, Six Shooters and Slingshots will also be on the card for Friday.
