EPPING, N.H. -- Bobby Webber Racing (BWR) announced today that Lee USA Speedway will serve as the hood sponsor of the No. 19 Pro Late Model for the upcoming CARS Tour race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway on Saturday, April 9.
With driver Bryan Kruczek, BWR will make their debut in CARS competition at one of the most historic tracks in the south. It will mark the fifth race of the season for the Pro Late Model effort -- coming off a successful Speedweeks in Florida in February -- where Bryan picked up a victory at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. The Lee sponsorship on the hood will showcase the logo for the inaugural Granite State Derby at Lee on Saturday, May 21. The event will take place during the early to mid-afternoon, and will be followed up by a Saturday evening special, just down the street, at BWR's home, Star Speedway. This means race fans will have the opportunity to attend both events in the same day at two of New Hampshire's best tracks. The Lee event includes the return of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour for the first time since 1998. The busy night of racing at Star will include the 350 Supermodifieds, Ken Izzett Construction Late Models, Drivers Choice King of the Pure Stocks and Six Shooters races and the Woody's Auto Street Stocks. It will be the perfect day of racing for short-track fans. "We feel this is a great tie in for both of the tracks and we're thankful for Lee to come on the car and support our efforts to head back south," Bobby Webber Jr., team owner, said. "With us working together to have the schedules flow so fans can attend both races, it's a huge positive for the race fans. What better way to show the fans that we are working together then to promote the days doubleheader at our Pro Late Model during the Greenville-Pickens race. We hope fans will be able to watch the race on CarsTour.TV." The CARS Tour race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway will take place on Saturday, April 9. A full schedule for the race will be available soon. Tickets will also be available at the track for those who will be in the area to cheer the BWR team on in person. For those who can't make it, you can purchase a PPV broadcast on CarsTour.TV to watch the action. You can also follow Bobby Webber Racing on Facebook for the latest news and information. "It is great to see Norm Wrenn and Bobby Webber working together. They were able to find a way for both tracks to race on the day of the Inaugural Granite State Derby, when we bring the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour back to Lee for the first time in over two decades," Josh Vanada, owner of JDV Productions, who will promote the Lee event, said. "To now see Norm's support of Bobby Webber Racing at Greenville Pickens, it just goes to show that cooperation amongst short tracks can happen. It's an action that is at the heart of what the New Hampshire Short Track Racing Association and Star Speedway is trying to cultivate." See below for event posters with more information for both the Lee USA Speedway event and the Star Speedway event, both on May 21. KINGSTON, N.H. -- After a successful tenure down south at New Smyrna Speedway, winning a Pro Late Model race and scoring a top-five finish in the Sportsman division at the World Series, it's time for the Bobby Webber Racing team to get back to work this weekend. The Indoor Auto Racing Championship Series, operated by Len Sammons Productions, rolls to Syracuse, New York, for the Indoor races on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12.
It will be the third different car and third different driver to sit behind the wheel for Bobby Webber Racing so far during the 2022 season. And this time, it's a proven winner, just like before. Joey Payne, better known to some as the "Jersey Jet", will drive the No. 19 Little Webb's Tires and Fuel machine against some of the toughest competition in the Indoor racing world. Payne is no stranger to Indoor Racing, as a multiple-time winner and frontrunner for many years. Outside, on the asphalt, Payne is a well-known standout in Supermodifieds, Midgets and more. Payne has been victorious in just about every single vehicle he has driven over his career and should be a major threat when the green flag drops on the Syracuse Indoor races this weekend. That's exactly why team owner Bobby Webber Jr. selected the "Jersey Jet" to get behind the wheel. The car, No. 19, has been sitting quiet. The last time it ran, oddly enough, was when Justin Bonsignore, a three-time NASCAR champion, drove it to Victory Lane for Bobby Webber Racing at Syracuse. Payne is hoping to pick up right where the team left off. "It's funny because I was actually watching Atlantic City on TV with my wife and I texted Bobby and told him we should have got the car together, but with everything he had going on for Florida, it just didn't work," Payne said. Payne, who didn't drive in the Indoor race at Atlantic City -- his first missed Indoor race in a while -- isn't concerned at all going into the weekend with himself, or the car. He knows they will be contenders. And Payne also knows that team owner Bobby Webber Jr. only has one goal when going to the track: win. "Definitely the goal," Payne said. "I grew up in these cars, it's just like riding a bike for me." "I'm really looking forward to working with Joey for this one-off weekend," Bobby Webber Jr., team owner, said. "We both race with a chip on our shoulder and we both want nothing more than to park the No. 19 in Victory Lane at Syracuse." The team wishes to thank Poland Family Racing (44) and Foster Racing (812) along with all of our additional partners and team members for the help to make it all happen. Racing begins on Friday night at 7:30PM with three, 20-lap, TQ Midget features set to headline the night. On Saturday, all the action gets underway with a fan party in the pits at 5:30PM, followed by the drop of the green flag for racing at 7:30PM. The headlining race of the weekend will be the 40-lap TQ Midget feature to close the night. Bobby Webber Racing is looking forward to returning to the Indoor Auto Racing world this weekend with hopes of bringing home a trophy.
